Head of Client Services
Malta

Emma Sinclair

Can you explain your role to me and how it contributes to the overall flight mission?

As the head of client services, my team plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless execution of every aspect of our clients’ journey with VistaJet. We are the point of contact for clients throughout their entire experience, from the initial contract to ongoing support and communication. This involves understanding and fulfilling their unique preferences, managing logistics, and ensuring that every detail is tailored to their satisfaction. By providing personalized attention and anticipating their needs, we contribute to the success of each flight mission and uphold Vista’s reputation for exceptional service.

What motivated you to choose aviation as a career, and was it always an industry you wanted to be in?

My journey into aviation began unexpectedly, but it was fueled by a passion for challenge and problem-solving. Starting in flight scheduling, I was drawn to the dynamic nature of the industry and the opportunity to navigate complex puzzles daily. Over time, I developed a deep appreciation for aviation’s unique blend of precision and innovation. While it wasn’t initially a career I envisioned, I quickly fell in love with its fast-paced environment and endless possibilities for growth.

Did you face any barriers in your career due to the male-dominated nature of the industry?

Early in my career, navigating the male-dominated aviation industry presented its challenges, particularly when asserting authority and gaining recognition. However, at VistaJet, I’ve been fortunate to work in an environment where meritocracy prevails. While the industry needs to progress in gender equality, I’ve found that my contributions and capabilities are valued based on merit rather than gender. VistaJet fosters an inclusive culture where diversity is celebrated, enabling women like me to thrive.

What advice would you give to young women looking to pursue aviation as a career?

For young women considering a career in aviation, my advice would be to cultivate grit and resilience. Aviation is a challenging and fast-paced industry that demands perseverance and confidence in the face of adversity. While it may have historically been male dominated, the landscape is evolving, offering more opportunities for women to excel. Embrace the challenges, be proactive in seeking learning opportunities, and believe in your abilities. With determination and a passion for aviation, the sky’s the limit.

Is there anyone at Vista who inspires you or whom you admire?

The commercial team show what women are all about, their top salespeople are women across the board. This is impressive because they are selling our product to mostly men in a very male dominated industry. I think it’s inspirational. The likes of Leona Qi, President of the U.S. market, Crystal Wong, Executive VP of Program Sales in Asia to Francesca Swan, Chief Strategy Officer, this is something that I’m super proud to be part of.
