2021: Rebound, innovation & growth

Having spent the last year strengthening our global offering to be able to serve every client in private aviation, I want to take a moment to celebrate some of the achievements of our global team and thank all those who supported us along the way.

2021: Rebound, innovation & growth

As a world-leading private aviation group, we have evolved and innovated every aspect of our services to provide the most advanced flying solutions at the very best value.

Supporting our community

Our team continues to be proactive and innovative in their support of customers. We have invested in our people and infrastructure to better serve clients wherever they are in the world, hiring hundreds of aviation experts to respond to the increased demand for business flights.

VistaJet Members have benefitted from a new Client Services structure that consolidates day-to-day bookings and account management into one dedicated team, while XO kept its Membership doors always open and added enhanced service coverage and loyalty flight credits. Seamless service remains our priority and we look forward to strengthening our client relationships further in 2022 and beyond.

Enhancing your fleet

We have continued to improve and expand the global fleet as travellers return to the skies. At VistaJet, we introduced the game-changing Global 7500, with already seven in the over 200-strong group fleet and a further seven more to come by the end of 2022, and ordered eight new Challenger 350 to service a growing demand for super-midsize business jets.

XO is now offering even more light and super-midsize aircraft. With the increase in shorter flights as a substitute of commercial options, we added 23 jets — including Citations and Challengers — taking the XO Dedicated Fleet up to 79 light and super-midsize aircraft.

The Group has also made significant and accelerated progress with the integration of Red Wing Aviation, Apollo Jets and Talon Air into its portfolio — further increasing Vista’s presence in North America.

Upgrading services

Our clients have taken comfort in the security and privacy we deliver as safety remains paramount for travelers. On top of enhanced cleaning protocols alongside exceptional safety training and medical support, our market-leading technology has been strengthened.

XO continues to innovate, adding speed and functionality to their mobile app. Search and one-touch booking has become more fluid — from any mobile device — providing on-demand global availability across all cabin classes.

To ensure an unparalleled in-flight experience on every journey, we are also completing interior refurbishments across the VistaJet and XO fleet.

Nevertheless, this year in particular, travel remains about connection first and foremost. I was delighted to launch The Surprise Reunion program to reunite loved ones through innovative adventures that they will remember for years to come.

Leading environmental change

The time to act in the fight against climate change is now. VistaJet received an incredible response from clients after introducing carbon offsets in 2020, global access to Sustainable Aviation Fuel in 2021, and has since committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2025: an industry first.

XO’s shared charter service experienced unprecedented growth this last year. Allowing fliers to take advantage of dynamic availability and seat-sharing meant that XO was able to fly an average of ten or more passengers on each aircraft, increasing the efficiency of seating capacity by 230%. The environmental benefits have been immediate and profound, and over 1,200 shared flights have allowed potential savings of around 36,000 tons of CO2*.

We have made great progress on a company-wide sustainability journey that we know is important to our customers and the communities in every country in the world.  There remains much work to be done, but I am confident that we are moving in the right direction.

Servicing growing demand

Demand for private aviation is surging due to global economic development, health and safety considerations, and the reduced services of commercial aviation. Operating at maximum speed during 2021 has been a challenge, but I have been uplifted by the continued support of our Members and the outstanding efforts of our partners and employees.

We have adapted to help businesses spark a global economic recovery and will continue to do everything possible to support their objectives in 2022 and beyond.

Lastly, we have had the pleasure of welcoming many new clients to Vista from all over the globe — let me sincerely thank you for your trust and confidence. Our community, team and fleet are growing, and I am very optimistic about the years to come.

I look forward to reconnecting with you in 2022.
